There
shall be a Department of Recreational Services, the head of which
shall be the Director. If no Director is appointed, the Business Administrator
will be considered the Acting Director of the Department.
The Department may charge and collect a reasonable fee for the use
of the Township recreational facilities, programs or activities, when
specifically authorized by the Council.
Adopt suitable rules and regulations for the day-to-day operation
of recreational facilities with the approval of the Mayor. Any person
who shall violate any rule or regulation shall be in violation of
this chapter.
Receive advice and assistance from a Recreation Advisory Committee,
which shall consist of eight regular members, five of which shall
be appointed by the Mayor, and three of which shall be appointed by
the Council. Each member shall serve for a term of three years. There
will also be a Council liaison member who will serve for a term of
two years or for the balance of his office, whichever occurs first.
Vacancy shall be filled for the unexpired term only. Members shall
serve without compensation. The Committee shall advise and assist
the Division in the planning and development of public recreational
programs, and it shall promote the optimum coordination of public
and recreational facilities within the Township.
The Division may charge and collect a reasonable fee for the use
of the Township recreational facilities, programs or activities, when
specifically authorized by the Council.
Within the Department of Recreational Services, there shall be a
Division of Community Affairs, the head of which shall be the Director
of Community Affairs.
The Division may charge and collect a reasonable fee for the use
of the Township-sponsored community programs, special events or projects,
when specifically authorized by the Council.
The powers and duties of the Division of PAL Services are to coordinate
with the PAL in furtherance of the recreational sports, education
and community enrichment programs the PAL offers to Township residents.

with the recreational sports programs the PAL offers to Township residents,
when specifically authorized by the Council.
