Training:
The maximum number of points will be given to all members who complete
at least 16 hours of required continuing education per year. Those members
who complete less than 16 hours will receive a prorated percentage of the
25-point maximum.

Drills:
The maximum number of points will be given to all members who attend
100% of the drills conducted each calendar year. Those members who complete
less than 100% of all the drills will receive a prorated percentage of the
20-point maximum as follows:

100% = 20 points
90% = 15 points
80% = 10 points
|
Members who attend at least 67% of the drills but less than 80% will
receive 5 points. No points will be awarded to those who attend less than
the required 67% of the drills.
|
Monthly 24-hour shifts:
All members are required to be on call for one 24-hour shift per month.
Each shift carries a point value of 2. Additional points can be earned by
covering an additional shift to help during a time of need.
|
Weekly shifts:
All members are required to be on call for one 12-hour shift per week.
Each shift carries a point value of 1.
|
Meetings:
The maximum number of points will be given to all members who attend
100% of the meetings held each calendar year. Those members who attend less
than 100% of the meetings will receive a prorated percentage of the 20-point
maximum as follows:

100% = 20 points
90% = 15 points
80% = 10 points
|
Members who attend at least 67% of the meetings but less than 80% will
receive 5 points. No points will be awarded to those who attend less than
the required 67% of the meetings.

Call attendance:
The maximum number of points will be given to all members who attend
18% of the calls responded to in each calendar year. Those members who attend
less than 18% of the calls will receive a prorated percentage of the 50-point
maximum as follows:

12% = 35 points

10% = 30 points

8% = 25 points

6% = 20 points

No points will be awarded to those who do not attend a minimum of 2%

Training:
40 points will be awarded to members who maintain their required certifications
(CPR, heavy rescue, first responder and bloodborne pathogens) during the course
of the year. Members who serve as instructors for the unit or who are dive
certified may earn an additional 10 points.

Call attendance:
The maximum number of points will be given to all members who attend
25% of the calls responded to in each calendar year. Those members who attend
less than 25% of the calls will receive a prorated percentage of the 50-point
maximum as follows:

25% = 50 points
|
20% = 45 points
|
15% = 40 points
|
10% = 35 points
|
8% = 30 points
|
6% = 20 points
|
4% = 15 points
|
2% = 10 points
|
No points will be awarded for those who do not attend a minimum of 2%

Standbys:
During times of emergency, members of the Rescue and Recovery Unit are
called to a standby alert status. Each time a member remains on standby status
for more than one hour, 2 points shall be awarded up to a maximum of 30 points.

to all members who attend 100% of the drills/work details/meetings conducted
each calendar year. Those members who attend less than 100% of the drills/work
details/meetings will receive a prorated percentage of the 20-point maximum
available in each category as follows:

All members who attend at least 67% of the drills/work details/meetings
but less than 80% will receive 5 points. No points will be awarded for those
who do not meet the 2/3 participation requirements for these categories.
