A. 
The Plumbing Inspector shall have the power to condemn and order the removal of any plumbing and drainage that does not comply with the provisions of this code.
B. 
The Plumbing Inspector shall have the power to stop any plumbing or drainage work being performed by persons, partnerships, associations or corporations not authorized by this code to perform such work, whether a permit has been issued therefor or not.
C. 
The Plumbing Inspector shall have the power to prescribe with the approval of the Ulster County Department of Health and the Examining Board of Plumbers the form of all applications, permits, certificates, notices, orders and all other necessary forms or instruments not herein specifically provided for.
D. 
The Plumbing Inspector shall have the power and authority in conjunction with the Ulster County Department of Health and the Examining Board of Plumbers to take all steps and measures necessary to carry out and enforce every provision of this code.
The Plumbing Inspector shall perform the following duties; he shall:
A. 
Carry out and enforce every provision of this code.
B. 
Examine all plans and specifications of proposed plumbing or drainage and if the same are in all respects found to be in conformity with this code, approve them and issue permits therefor.
C. 
Inspect and test the construction, installation or alteration of all plumbing and drainage and issue certificates of approval when so requested by the Master Plumber in charge after satisfactory completion of final tests.
D. 
Inspect existing plumbing and drainage as often as may be necessary.
E. 
Issue, sign, serve or cause to be served notices of violation of any provisions of this code or such other notices, orders, and other forms and instruments as are herein required by the Ulster County Department of Health.
F. 
Investigate all complaints and report to proper authorities.
G. 
Make no exceptions to any provisions of this code without the approval of the Ulster County Department of Health and the Examining Board of Plumbers.
H. 
Perform such duties and make such inspections, investigations and reports as may be required by the Ulster County Department of Health and the Examining Board of Plumbers which pertain to the Plumbing Code.
I. 
Keep records and report monthly to the Mayor, the Ulster County Department of Health and the Examining Board of Plumbers concerning the work of plumbing in our city.
The Plumbing Inspector shall keep permanent official records of all transactions and activities conducted by him, including all applications received, permits and certificates issued, fees charged and collected, inspection reports and notices and orders issued. All such records shall be public records open to the public inspection during business hours.
