A. 
No property of the village, including wood and earth, may be taken, claimed or removed from village property by a village employee, except as his or her supervisor may direct that such property be moved for storage or disposal purposes.
B. 
No property, other than broken or used consumable items which are ordinarily of a type or kind which are discarded and not salvaged after use, shall be disposed of without consent of the Village Board. It is the duty of the Supervisor to notify the Village Board of any property which they propose to sell or dispose of. Each supervisor shall provide the Board with the name and address of a person who generally deals in such type of property, whether it be wood, dirt, shell casings and furniture (this list is by way of example only and not inclusive), and advise the Board as to such businessperson's opinion concerning the value of any such property.
A. 
All village property to which this policy is applicable shall be sold at such time and place and upon such terms and conditions as the Village Board may direct.
B. 
Unless the Board directs otherwise, all sales shall be advertised to the public one week in advance of the sale.
C. 
Unless the Board directs otherwise, there shall be no prepayment on account of items sold by the village.
D. 
Receipts given for village property shall identify the date, price, amount and kind of property.
This policy shall be posted in each employee's place of work.
Any employee violating this policy shall be subject to immediate dismissal.
