[Adopted 1-23-2007 by L.L. No. 2-2007]
New York State law now authorizes Town Boards to grant modest tax exemptions to volunteer fire fighters and volunteer ambulance workers. The services provided by these volunteers are invaluable to the community, and it is the intent of the Town Board to grant to these volunteers all benefits authorized by state law. It is with this purpose in mind that the Town Board does hereby enact this article.
