It shall be the duty of the occupant of every building occupied for commercial, mercantile or industrial purposes in which an ammonia tank is located to cause to be installed on the outside of such building in a place which is accessible to the members of the Fire Department of the Village of Rockville Centre, Nassau County, New York, a safety or bleeding valve, and deliver a key which will fit the same to the Chief Engineer of the Fire Department of the Village of Rockville Centre, such safety or bleeding valve to be connected with such installation therein so that in the event of a fire the ammonia fumes arising from the installation of such ammonia tank may be destroyed by the turning of such valve.
Any person, persons or corporation who shall fail to comply with the conditions of this article shall be subject to a penalty not exceeding $50 and an additional penalty not exceeding $50 per day for each day such violation continues. Any violation of this article or any part thereof shall constitute disorderly conduct, and any person violating this article or any part thereof shall be and is hereby declared a disorderly person.
