No person shall purposely or recklessly tamper, connect, disconnect or interfere by any means, including but not limited to mechanical or electrical devices, with any portion of the computerized traffic signalization system within the City of Paterson, including but not limited to wires, cables, residential cable television subscriber installations and interconnects of that system.
It shall not be a defense to this chapter that said action resulted from or in conjunction with a violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:20-8.
Any person who violates any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars ($1,000.), by imprisonment for a term not exceeding ninety (90) days or by a period of community service for not more than ninety (90) days, or any combination thereof.
