The Conservation Commission appointed in accordance with Section C805 of the Charter of the Town of Cromwell[1] is hereby authorized to act to protect the wetlands and watercourses within the Town of Cromwell and shall be known as the "Conservation Commission and Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Agency."

The Conservation Commission and Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Agency shall have all the powers and responsibilities authorized under Chapter 440 of the Connecticut General Statutes as they now exist or as they may be amended hereafter.
A. 
The Conservation Commission and Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Agency is authorized to promulgate such regulations, in conformity with regulations promulgated by the Commission of Environmental Protection of the State of Connecticut,[1] as are necessary to protect the wetlands and watercourses of the Town of Cromwell, and define the boundaries thereof, in accordance with the provisions of the Connecticut General Statutes.

B. 
All regulations in effect at the time of enactment of this chapter shall remain in full force and effect.
