The following persons shall be and hereby are deemed to be "public servants," as said term is used in § 150.20 of the Criminal Procedure Law of the State of New York, for the purposes of issuing appearance tickets returnable in the Village Court for the violations of the Village Code, except §§ 193-1 and 193-28:

Superintendent of Public Works.
C.
Assistant Superintendent of Public Works.
D.
Sanitation General Supervisor.
E.
Sanitation Supervisor.
F.
Superintendent of Building Department.
G.
Assistant Superintendent of Building Department.
H.
Building Inspectors.
I.
Superintendent of Recreation.
J.
Assistant Superintendent of Recreation.
K.
Groundskeeper.
L.
Parking Enforcement Aides.
M.
Animal Warden.
N.
Special Policemen.
O.
Captain and Lieutenants assigned to Headquarters Company.

Editor's Note: Former § 4-2, Ordinances
and local laws enforceable by appearance tickets, was repealed 6-19-2008
by L.L. No. 2-2008.
Appearance tickets issued hereunder shall be
in the same form as those designated for use by the Garden City Police
Department. Use of such appearance tickets by such persons shall be
solely within the jurisdiction of the Village Chief of Police.
Such designation of the above-named persons
as public servants for the purposes herein set forth shall not be
deemed to confer upon such persons any additional powers, duties or
responsibilities other than set forth herein.
