The Village of Canastota does bestow the benefits of § 18
of the Public Officers Law upon its employees as therein defined and hereby
agrees to be held liable for the cost incurred under the provision of said
section as enacted by Chapter 277 of the Laws of 1981 of the State of New
York entitled an "Act to Amend the Public Officer's Law, the County Law
and the Education Law in Relation to the Indemnification and Defense of Public
Officers and Employees."
