Any person, firm, corporation, lessee or occupant violating any of the
provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to one
or more of the following: a fine not exceeding $1,000, a term of imprisonment
not exceeding 90 days or a period of community service not exceeding 90 days;
provided, however, that no oversight or dereliction of duty on the part of
the Inspector of Buildings shall authorize the erection of any sign not in
conformity with this chapter.
