This section is enacted pursuant to the Interlocal Services Act, N.J.S.A.
40:8A-1 et seq., or any amendments or supplements thereto, to authorize the
County of Burlington to provide public health services of a technical and
professional nature, provided by the County Health Department as agent of
our Municipal Board of Health, in compliance with the Local Health Services
Act, N.J.S.A. 26:3A2-1 et seq., or any amendments or supplements thereto.
The township shall enter into a contract with the County of Burlington,
essentially providing that the County Health Department shall provide public
health services which meet the standards of core and elective activities enumerated
in Standards of Performance, as promulgated by the Public Health Council of
the State of New Jersey. The public health service activities are categorized
under Administrative and Supporting Services, Environmental Health, Communicable
Disease, Maternal and Child Health and Chronic Illness and are listed in such
agreement. The Mayor and Township Clerk/Administrator are hereby authorized
and directed to execute the agreement on behalf of this township.
