The County Council is hereby authorized and empowered to adopt and promulgate
such rules and regulations as it may determine to be necessary to protect
the public from fire hazards and other dangers due to unsafe and dangerous
conditions with respect to any and all buildings in Wicomico County. Such
regulations may provide for the repair or removal of dangerous structures,
the removal of trash and other materials which may increase fire hazards or
interfere with the proper and efficient operation of firemen in extinguishing
fires or in preventing the spread of fires.
