The provisions of this article shall govern the responsibilities of
persons for the maintenance of structures, and the equipment and premises
thereof. It is strongly recommended that a lease agreement require an occupant
to comply with any provisions of this article. It shall be the responsibility
of the occupants to check with the Housing Official to determine if a certificate
of occupancy is required.
All garbage and rubbish shall be placed in a refuse container to maintain
clean and sanitary conditions. Each occupant of a dwelling or dwelling unit
shall dispose of all his rubbish in a clean and sanitary manner by placing
it in the garbage disposal facilities or approved garbage storage containers.
In all cases, the occupants shall be responsible for the availability of garbage
storage containers and the disposal of rubbish.
The equipment and fixtures furnished by the occupant of a structure
or previously supplied shall be properly installed and shall be maintained
in good working condition, kept clean and sanitary and free of defects, leaks
or obstructions.
