There shall be the following departments, officers,
boards and commissions in the Township of Hardyston:
A. Departments.
(1) Department of Administration.
(3) Department of Tax Assessments.

(4) Department of Public Works.
(6) Department of Building Inspections, Code Enforcement
and Land Use Administration.

(7) Department of Recreation.
(9) Department of Engineering.
B. Boards and Commissions.
(1) Municipal Court.

(2) Zoning Board of Adjustment.
(4) Board of Local Assistance.
(7) Emergency Management Council.

(9) Sussex County Municipal Utilities Authority.
(10) Economic Development Advisory Commission.
(11) Hardyston Township Municipal Utilities Authority.
The head of a department, subject to the approval
or direction of the Township Manager, shall:
A. Prescribe the internal organization of the work of
the department.
B. Direct and supervise subordinate officers and employees
of the department and make, alter and enforce individual work assignments.
C. Approve or disapprove payrolls, bills and claims chargeable
to departmental appropriations.
