A. 
There is hereby created an office to be known and designated as "Deputy Tax Collector."
B. 
The term of office of the Deputy Tax Collector shall be one year, commencing on January 1 of each year.
C. 
The Deputy Tax Collector shall receive such compensation as shall be provided in the annual Salary Ordinance.[1]

The duties of the office of Deputy Tax Collector shall consist of the mailing of tax and assessment bills, the receiving of payments of taxes and assessments, the making of official tax searches, the mailing of checks in payment of bills and any and all similar clerical work, the performance of which is designated as the duty of the office by the Tax Collector or Borough Council; and, in general, in the absence of the Collector, or in conjunction with the Collector, the performance of all duties of the office of Tax Collector designated by the Council by ordinance, resolution or regulation, which duties are not restricted by statute as to their performance to the Collector.
