A. All such vacation leaves shall be taken at a time
approved by the department head and, in the case of department heads,
with the approval of the Mayor and Council.
B. If an official holiday granted by the Council falls
during an employee's vacation period, an additional day of vacation
will be granted in lieu of the holiday.
C. All vacations must be taken during the current year
and may not be accumulated.
D. Part-time, temporary or summer employees are not eligible
for vacations.
E. No employee shall take more than two consecutive weeks
of vacation leave, except with the written approval of the Borough
Council.
F. Seniority prevails in scheduling vacation periods.
G. It is department head's responsibility to schedule
individual vacations so that the activities of the Borough will be
carried on without interruption or inconvenience.
H. All vacation schedules shall be completed and filed
with the Borough Clerk by April 1 of each year.
