For the purpose of promoting the public health, safety, morals and general welfare of the Town of Sweden, the Town is hereby divided into the following types of districts:
R1-2 District
One-Family Residential District, no sewer and/or water
R1-2S District
One-Family Residential District within a sanitary sewer district
R1-3S District
One-Family Residential District within a sanitary sewer district
MR-1 District
Multiple Residence District
B-1 District
Retail Business District
B-2 District
Airport Commercial Park District
B-3 District
Commercial Recreation District
I-1 District
Heavy Industrial District
I-2 District
Light Industrial District
I-3 District
Industrial Excavation District
PUD District
Planned Unit Development District
AUO District
Adult Use Entertainment Establishment Overlay District
A. 
Said districts are bounded as shown on a map titled "Zoning Map of the Town of Sweden," adopted simultaneously with the adoption of this chapter and certified by the Town Clerk, which accompanies this chapter and which, with all explanatory matter thereon, is hereby made a part of this chapter.[1]

B. 
Reference is also made to the Town Tax Account Maps and numbers having been assigned by the Assessor of the Town of Sweden. Where a tax account number is referred to herein, it shall be deemed to refer to that parcel of land as so shown or designated on the Tax Account Map in effect on the date of enactment of this chapter. Tax account numbers are composed of the section number followed by a point then followed by the block number and lot number separated by dashes. If the parcel has been subdivided there is another point followed by the subdivision number.

Reference is also made to the map of the Triangular Tract and the lots and sections thereof, the same being filed in the Monroe County Clerk's office, and of which the Town of Sweden is Township 3.
D. 
Interpretation of district boundaries.[2] Where uncertainty exists with respect to the boundaries of any of the aforesaid districts as shown on the Zoning Map, the following rules shall apply:
(1) 
Where district boundaries are indicated as approximately following the center lines of streets or highways, street lines or highway right-of-way lines, such center lines, street lines or highway right-of-way lines shall be construed to be such boundaries.
(2) 
Where district boundaries are so indicated that they approximately follow the lot lines, such lot lines shall be construed to be said boundaries.
(3) 
Where district boundaries are so indicated that they are approximately parallel to the center lines or street lines of streets or the center lines or right-of-way lines of highways, such district boundaries shall be construed as being parallel thereto and at such a distance therefrom as indicated on the Zoning Map. If no distance is given, such dimension shall be determined by the use of the scale shown on said Zoning Map.
(4) 
Where the boundary of a district follows a railroad line, such boundary shall be deemed to be located in the middle of the main tracks of said railroad line.
(5) 
Where the boundary of a district follows a canal, stream or other body of water, said boundary line shall be deemed to be at the limit of the jurisdiction of the Town of Sweden unless otherwise indicated.
