[Adopted 12-13-1982 by L.L. No. 2-1982]
The purpose of this article is to allow the City Council the option of paying the moving expenses of a City Manager appointee in such cases as it deems appropriate and as allowed by the State Constitution, state law and City Charter.
As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
MOVING EXPENSES
The reasonable cost of moving, including but not limited to household goods, vehicles, professional items needed for City Manager duties, intransit food and lodging for the appointee and family, and other moving-related expenses found by the City Council to be reimbursable to said City Manager appointee.
The City Council shall, if it determines that moving expenses will be paid, require that an itemized list of expenses be submitted for approval of payment prior to reimbursement of expenses. This approval can be agreed to before or after said move, and the City Council's decision shall be final on the issue.
