Pursuant to Subdivision 3 of § 150.20 of the Criminal Procedure Law of the State of New York, the Building Inspector and Deputy Building Inspector of the Town of Copake are hereby authorized to issue and serve appearance tickets when they have reasonable cause to believe that a person has committed a crime or has committed a petty offense in their presence with respect to the following designated offenses:
A. 
Violations of the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code.[1]

As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
BUILDING INSPECTOR
Includes "Zoning Enforcement Officer," "Zoning Officer" and "Code Enforcement Officer."
