As used in this article, the following terms
shall have the meanings indicated:
Every vehicle designed for carrying more than 10 passengers
and used for the transportation of persons.[1]
A bus, as defined herein, lawfully operated on village streets
in scheduled passenger transit service over regular routes originating
or terminating outside the Village of Dobbs Ferry or any village contiguous
thereto.

The Board of Trustees shall designate by resolution
all bus stops. At each of the designated locations, which shall be
visibly identified by signs, pavement markings or other suitable devices,
a portion of the street adjacent to the curb and not exceeding 60
feet in length and 10 feet in width is hereby restricted to use by
intercity transit buses for the purpose of receiving and discharging
passengers.
No intercity transit bus shall receive or discharge passengers within the Village except at the bus stops designated in accordance with § 140-2 of this article.
No vehicle except an intercity transit bus shall at any time be parked, stopped or left standing wholly or partly within any bus stop designated in accordance with § 140-2 of this article.
