A. 
No person shall peddle, vend or offer for sale in or upon any public street, sidewalk or area or from house to house in the Village any goods, wares, merchandise or other things or commodities of any description, except meat and farm products offered for sale by the producer thereof, without a license as hereinafter provided, except that such license shall not be required of an honorably discharged member of the Armed Forces of the United States who is crippled as a result of injuries received while in said armed forces and the holder of a license granted pursuant to § 32 of the General Business Law of the State of New York.
(1) 
Special sidewalk sales. Anything in this article to the contrary notwithstanding, upon request, the Village Board of Trustees may permit the selling and display for sale of merchandise on, over or upon the sidewalk at any location within the Village for a period not to exceed seven days in conjunction with a sponsored or organized sidewalk sales event open to participation by all retail merchants within the Village. Individual vendors or participants in such organized event shall be exempt from obtaining separate permits or licenses which obligation shall be the sole responsibility of the event sponsor or organizer.

B. 
Such license shall be signed by the Mayor and countersigned by the Village Clerk, who shall keep a record thereof and the amount of the fee paid therefor. Such license shall specify the fee paid therefor and its date of expiration.
C. 
If any person to whom a license shall be issued as aforesaid shall at any time be found guilty of a violation of any provision of this article, such license shall be subject to immediate cancellation by the Mayor without the refunding of any part of the fee paid therefor.
D. 
No license shall be granted for less than one year. No such license shall be transferable, and the fee for such license shall be as set from time to time by the Board of Trustees.[1]

E. 
Every person while engaged in such occupation within the limits of this Village shall carry with him such license and shall exhibit the same upon demand.
A. 
No person shall, in peddling, vending or offering for sale in or upon any public street, sidewalk or other area or from house to house in the Village any goods, wares, merchandise or other things or commodities of any description, cry his wares or make use of any horn, bell or other noisemaking device in such a manner as to attract attention to his wares or to facilitate his peddling; nor shall he otherwise disturb the peace and quiet of any part of said Village in any manner whatsoever.
B. 
No person shall, in the carrying on of such occupation as aforesaid, permit or suffer any automobile or other vehicle used by him in connection therewith to stand or remain within 500 feet of any grounds occupied by a school between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. or in front of any premises for any time if the owner or lessee thereof objects.
C. 
No person shall peddle, vend or offer for sale from house to house any goods, wares, merchandise or other things or commodities of any description on Sundays.
