The words and phrases used in this article shall,
for the purpose of this article, have the meanings respectively ascribed
to them by Article 1 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of
New York.

Every person convicted of a traffic infraction for a violation of any of the provisions of §
139-2C of this article shall for a first conviction thereof be punished by a fine of not more than $50 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment; for a second such conviction within 18 months thereafter such person shall be punished by a fine of not more than $100 or by imprisonment for not more than 45 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment; upon a third or subsequent conviction within 18 months after the first conviction such person shall be punished by a fine of not more than $250 or by imprisonment for not more than 90 days, or by both such fine or imprisonment.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances of this
Village in conflict with or inconsistent with the provisions of this
article are hereby repealed, except that this repeal shall not affect
or prevent the prosecution or punishment of any person for any act
done or committed in violation of any ordinance hereby repealed prior
to the taking effect of this article.
The following ordinances or parts of ordinances
are hereby specifically repealed: all of Village Ordinance No. 9,
adopted June 4, 1928.
