A. Off-street parking. It is prohibited to park or store any automobile, trailer, house trailer, camper, van, truck, pickup truck, recreational vehicle, boat or other mobile equipment (whether or not motorized and regardless of registration) upon the front yard lawn area or street side yard of any corner lot. All such vehicles located in the front of a residence must be parked inside a garage, a carport, or upon the paved driveway area or a paved surface suitable for parking. Each day of violation of this provision shall constitute a separate violation. The fine to be imposed for violation of this section shall be $40; however, if the violation is corrected within 24 hours of notice of violation, then the fine shall be reduced to $20. After one week of violation of this provision, the Village shall be authorized to have the offending vehicle, boat or other mobile equipment towed away at the owner's expense, and in accordance with §
141-24, charges shall be imposed to cover towing and storage.
B. On-street parking. It is prohibited to park any unattached trailer, house trailer, camper, recreational vehicle, boat, tractor trailer, storage container or pod; mobile home, dumpster or unregistered motor vehicle upon any street or public right-of-way in the Village. Each day of violation of this provision shall constitute a separate violation. The fine to be imposed for violation of this section shall be $40; however, if the violation is corrected within 24 hours of notice of violation, then the fine shall be reduced to $20. After one week of violation of this provision, the Village shall be authorized to have the offending unattached trailer, house trailer, camper, recreational vehicle, boat, tractor trailer, storage container or pod, mobile home, dumpster or unregistered motor vehicle towed away/removed at the owner's expense, and in accordance with §
141-24, charges shall be imposed to cover towing/removal and storage.
The regulations in this article shall not be
construed to prevent the delivery or pickup of merchandise or other
property along the highways upon which such vehicles are otherwise
prohibited from parking nor to prevent the parking of such vehicles
for a limited period of time in order to expeditiously load or unload
the same.
