The following parking spaces are hereby designated as handicapped parking
areas, and the parking of motor vehicles thereon is restricted to those motor
vehicles displaying a handicapped parking permit:
A. Any parking space so designated by resolution of the
Town Board of the Town of Ontario and posted with road markings and upright
signs identifying the spaces as handicapped parking spaces.
The Town Clerk of the Town of Ontario is hereby designated and authorized
to issue handicapped parking permits to qualified persons requesting such
permits, without fee.
The Highway Superintendent of the Town of Ontario is hereby directed
to erect handicapped parking signs at the above-designated handicapped parking
areas.

Any motor vehicle occupying any of the above-designated handicapped
parking areas without displaying a handicapped parking permit shall be in
violation of this chapter and shall be subject to a fine not to exceed $250
or to imprisonment for a term not to exceed 15 days, or both.
This chapter shall take effect immediately upon such handicapped parking
spaces being identified with handicapped parking signs.
