All outdoor fires of any material or fuel are prohibited within the
village except as follows:
A. The burning of leaves, brush or paper in an iron or wire
receptacle completely covered with an iron or wire top and so constructed
as to prevent the flying of ashes therefrom.
B. The burning of coal, charcoal or wood, solely for cooking
purposes, in an outdoor home fireplace or barbecue so designed and constructed
as to prevent the flying of ashes therefrom.

Whenever the Board of Trustees shall determine that there exists a state
of emergency caused by conditions of drought or shortage of water or water
pressure or other condition creating abnormal fire hazard to person or property,
it may, by resolution, declare a state of emergency and prohibit the burning
of leaves, wood, paper or any other material or substance outdoors within
the village until the adoption by the Board of Trustees of a further resolution
terminating such state of emergency, said resolution to be published and posted
in the manner prescribed by law for the publication and posting of an ordinance
but to take effect immediately upon such publication and posting.
