No person or persons, firm or corporation, shall
move or cause to be moved from anyplace within the Borough of Catasauqua
to another place therein, or to anyplace beyond the limits thereof,
or from anyplace outside the limits of the Borough of Catasauqua to
anyplace within the Borough, any household goods, personal goods,
equipment, or machinery in bulk, without first securing from the Borough
Secretary of the Borough of Catasauqua, Lehigh County, a permit for
such moving or transportation.
Any person or persons, firm or corporation desiring
a permit for the removal or transportation of household goods, equipment
or machinery in the manner above described, shall make application
to the Borough Secretary of the Borough of Catasauqua. Lehigh County,
Pennsylvania, setting forth his, its or their name or names and address,
and also getting forth the names of the owners or reputed owners of
the property to be moved, the address and location from which the
property is to be moved, and the new address or location of the place
to which the property is to be moved. Any person or persons, firm
or corporation shall, at the time of making the application herein
provided for, produce receipts or other evidence of payment of all
Borough taxes, water and sewerage rentals, and municipal charges of
any and every kind accrued against him, her, them or it up to and
including the date of application. No permit for moving or transportation
shall be issued by the Borough Secretary until the provisions of this
section have been complied with.

The Borough Secretary of the Borough of Catasauqua, Lehigh County, shall, upon due compliance with the requirements set forth in §
180-2 of this chapter, issue a permit for which a charge as set from time to time by resolution of Borough Council will be made, setting forth the name of the permittee
as well as the name or names of the owners of the goods, equipment
or machinery to be moved and the address from which the goods, equipment
or machinery are to be moved and the address to which the goods, equipment
or machinery are to be delivered.

Any person, persons, firm or corporation violating
any of the provisions of this chapter or furnishing false information
to the Borough Secretary, or using any false name or address, shall,
upon conviction thereof before the Mayor or any District Justice of
the Borough, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $100 and
costs of prosecution, and, in default of payment of such tine and
costs, to imprisonment in the County Jail for not more than 10 days.
Any person found guilty of violating an ordinance shall be assessed
court costs and reasonable attorneys’ fees incurred by the Borough
in the enforcement proceedings.
