No person, firm, corporation, partnership or any other entity
shall move into or take occupancy or make use of any dwelling and/or
building within the Township of Doylestown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania,
without first submitting a move-in registration form from the Township.
No person, firm, corporation, partnership or other entity shall
permit any premises to be occupied as a dwelling unit, rooming unit
or for any other purpose without first submitting to the Township
a move-in registration. The form for move-in registration under those
circumstances where the person, firm, corporation, partnership or
other entity is not the record owner of the premises shall, in addition
to the information required by the application noted hereinafter,
provide the name and address of the proposed tenant, the number of
occupants of the premises and the names and ages of said occupants.
This requirement associated with the number of occupants shall not
apply, however, if the use of the premises is for a commercial purpose
and not as a dwelling unit, and the other persons occupying the premises
are employees or otherwise associated with the tenant in some capacity
other than dwelling in the premises.
Every person, firm, corporation or other entity submitting a
move-in registration form to occupy any premises shall file an application
with the Township setting forth the name of the applicant, the location
of the premises to be occupied, the name of the owner, the names of
persons occupying the premises in addition to the applicant, the nature
of the proposed use of the premises and such other information as
the Township Manager shall deem appropriate for the inclusion within
said application.
The cost, if any, for said move-in registration shall be determined
by resolution of the Board of Supervisors from time to time.
Any person, firm, corporation, partnership or other entity who
shall fail to comply with the provisions of this chapter shall be
subject to a fine not exceeding $600 and each day that the person,
firm, corporation, partnership or other entity shall fail to submit
said move-in registration shall be a separate violation.
