The office of Township Manager is hereby created by the Supervisors
of the Township of Doylestown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. As the Supervisors
may, by ordinance, create the office of Township Manager, the Supervisors
may, in like manner, abolish the same.
While said office of Township Manager exists, the Supervisors shall,
from time to time, and, whenever there is a vacancy, by majority vote, elect
one person to fill said office who shall serve until a successor is elected
and qualified. Any such Township Manager shall be subject to removal by the
Supervisors of Doylestown Township by majority vote.
The Township Manager shall be chosen for his or her educational qualifications,
executive and administrative abilities and experience.
Before entering upon the duties of the office, the Township Manager
shall give a bond to the Township of Doylestown with a bonding company as
surety, to be approved by the Supervisors of Doylestown Township, in a sum
to be fixed by the Supervisors, from time to time, by resolution, conditioned
for the faithful performance of said duties. The premium for said bond shall
be paid by the Township of Doylestown.
The salary of the Township Manager shall be fixed, from time to time,
by resolution of the Supervisors of Doylestown Township and shall be paid
out of the general fund of the Township.
