[HISTORY: Adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Guilderland 4-3-1990 by L.L. No. 4-1990 (Subpart 1, Div. 2, of the 1974 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
The purpose of this chapter is to authorize public servants of the Town of Guilderland to issue and serve appearance tickets in connection with violations of state statutes, local laws, ordinances or rules and regulations of the town which the public servants are authorized or required to enforce.
With respect to violation of a state statute or a local law, ordinance, rule or regulation of the Town of Guilderland:
A. 
The Chief Building Inspector and Zoning Coordinator is authorized to issue and serve an appearance ticket in the areas of zoning and planning, building and construction.[1]

B. 
The Chief Building Inspector and Zoning Coordinator is authorized to issue and serve an appearance ticket in the areas of building and construction, fire prevention and safety.[2]

C. 
The Animal Control Officer is authorized to issue and serve an appearance ticket in the area of animal control.
D. 
The Superintendent of Water and Wastewater Management, the foreman of the Department of Water and Wastewater Management, the assistant to the Superintendent of Water and Wastewater Management and the operator of the water plant of the Town of Guilderland are authorized to issue and serve an appearance ticket in the area of water, sewers and sewage disposal.
An appearance ticket other than for a parking violation shall be served personally.
