It shall be the responsibility of the Mayor to appoint an elector of
the village, who need not be a Trustee, as Deputy Mayor.
The Deputy Mayor shall, during the absence or inability of the Mayor,
be vested with all the powers and may perform all the duties of the Mayor.
This chapter is specifically intended to supersede Village Law § 4-400
(1)(h).
