[1] Editor's Note: The provisions of this article are derived from several resolutions and orders of the Town Board adopted through the years, as indicated for each subsection, and are included together here for organizational purposes.

§ 158-19 Stop intersections designated.

A. Full-stop signs shall be installed on both sides of Shenorock Drive at its intersection with Overhill Road.

B. A stop sign shall be erected on Brick Hill Road at its intersection with Route 202.

C. The Town Board does hereby authorize the erection of stop signs on Cypress Lane at intersections with Overhill Road, Shenorock.

D. The Superintendent of Highways be and hereby is authorized to install a stop sign at the intersection of Hillandale Road and Cypress Lane, Shenorock.

E. The Town Board does hereby order the erection of the following signs pursuant to § 1660, Subdivision 1 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law at the intersections indicated:

(1) Intersection of Entrance Way and Lake Way, Lake Purdy; stop signs shall be erected on Lake Way east and Lake Way west.

(2) Intersection of Wilner Road and Landonderry Lane is designated as a stop intersection and a stop sign shall be erected on Londonderry Lane from the east.

(3) Four-way intersection at Pinesbridge Road and Mekeel Street is designated as a stop intersection and stop signs shall be erected at Pinesbridge Road from the north and south and Mekeel Street from the east and west.

(4) Intersection of Pinesbridge Road and Mekeel Street, when proceeding southerly on Pinesbridge Road, which intersection is south of the four-way intersection of Pinesbridge Road and Mekeel Street, to be designated as a stop intersection and a stop sign shall be erected at the entrance of Pinesbridge Road from the north.

(5) Intersection of Pinesbridge Road and Mekeel Street, when proceeding westerly on Mekeel Street, which intersection is west of the four-way intersection of Pinesbridge Road and Mekeel Street, to be designated as a yield intersection and a yield sign shall be erected on Mekeel Street from the east.

F. Pursuant to § 1660, Subdivision (a)1, of the Vehicle and Traffic Law:

[Adopted 2-14-1980]

(1) The intersection of Mekeel Street and Bedell Road is hereby designated as a stop intersection, and a stop sign shall be erected at the following entrance thereto: Bedell Road from the north.

(2) The intersection of Amawalk Avenue and Mahopac Avenue is hereby designated as a stop intersection, and stop signs shall be erected at the following entrances thereto: Amawalk Avenue from the east and from the west.

(3) The intersection of Hillandale Road and Cypress Lane is hereby designated as a stop intersection, and a stop sign shall be erected on the northeast corner of Hillandale Road and Cypress Lane, Shenorock.

G. Pursuant to § 1660, Subdivision (a)1, of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, the following intersections shall be designated as stop intersections:

(1) Warren Street and West Hill Drive.

(2) Lakeview Terrace East and West, at Mahopac Avenue intersection.

H. Pursuant to § 1660 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, the intersection of Greenbriar Drive and Warren Street shall be and hereby is designated as a stop intersection, and a stop sign shall be erected at the following entrance thereof: on Greenbriar Drive from the east.

I. The Town Board, pursuant to § 1660, Subdivision (a)1, of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, does hereby order that Granite Springs Road at its intersection with Quaker Church Road is designated as a stop intersection.

J. The following intersection shall be designated as a stop intersection: on the east side of Mekeel Street approximately 40 feet from Bedell Road.

K. The following intersection shall be designated as a stop intersection: on the northwest corner of Greenlawn Road at the intersection with Mekeel Street.

L. A stop sign shall be erected on the right-hand side of Central Way entering into Entrance Way East, Lake Purdy.

M. Stop signs shall be erected at the two northeast corner intersections of Mitchell Road with Greenbriar Drive.

N. The following intersections shall be designated as stop intersections:

O. The Town Board does hereby designate the following locations as stop intersections:

Q. Pursuant to § 1660, Subdivisions 1 and 25, of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, the following intersections are designated as stop intersections:

R. Pursuant to § 1660 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, the intersection of Flower Drive and Juniper Drive is designated as a stop intersection, and a stop sign shall be erected on the northwest corner and the southeast corner of Flower Drive.

S. Pursuant to § 1660 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, a stop sign is designated on the northeast quadrant of the intersection of Carpenter Place and Tighe Road, Shenorock, and a stop sign is designated on the northwest quadrant of the intersection of Tighe Road and Carpenter Place.

T. Pursuant to § 1660 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, a three-way stop sign is designated at the intersection of Overhill Road and Valley Drive West, Shenorock, and is hereby authorized.

U. Pursuant to § 1660 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, the intersection of Forest Lane and Hillandale Road, Shenorock, is designated as a stop intersection as recommended by the Highway Superintendent and Acting Chief of Police in memorandums, dated March 28, 1991, and April 11, 1991, respectively.

V. Pursuant to § 1660, Subdivision 1, of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, a stop sign shall be installed on the northwest corner of Fair Way at the intersection of Entrance Way West

§ 158-20 Yield intersections designated.

A. A yield sign shall be installed at the triangle intersection of Lake Road and Route 35.

§ 158-21 Traffic control signals.

A. Installation.

(1) A signal light shall be installed at the intersection of Warren Street and West Hill Drive.

B. Prohibited right turns on red signals. Right turns on red signals are prohibited at the following intersections:

(1) Warren Street and West Hill Drive.

§ 158-21.1 Pedestrian crosswalks.

[Added 7-14-1988]

Pedestrian crosswalk signs shall be installed as follows:

A. On the south side of Green Briar Drive between Mitchell Drive (east) and Mitchell Drive (west).

B. On the northerly side of Green Briar Drive opposite Mitchell Drive (east).

C. On the easterly side of Cypress Lane approximately 100 feet north of Lakeview Drive.

§ 158-21.2 Prohibited turns.

A. No person shall make a turn in a vehicle specified below at the specified street and location and during the specified times:

	Lovell Street	South	Dunhill Drive intersect- ion	Left onto Dunhill Drive	All vehicles, except school buses and emer- gency vehicles	24 hours

B. A sign shall be installed at the above street(s) and location(s) to implement the turn prohibitions in this section.
