Every owner of a dwelling, house or other building fronting
on a public street, avenue or highway within the limits of Jenkintown
Borough shall number the same at the owner's expense in the manner
hereinafter provided.
The system for determining said number shall be according to
the plan adopted February 26, 1894, making the Borough line on the
west and Washington Lane or the Borough line on the south the lines
of beginning. The numbers shall extend east and north therefrom, respectively.

The numbers shall be so displayed as to be fully visible from
the public street, avenue or highway upon which the structure is located.
All numbers so displayed shall be at least four inches in height and
shall be painted or otherwise colored so as to be reflective.

Any person, firm or corporation violating the provisions of
this chapter shall, upon summary conviction before a court of competent
jurisdiction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $600 and
costs of prosecution or to be imprisoned for a period of not exceeding
30 days, or both.
