The Jenkintown Police Department is hereby authorized to remove
any vehicle parked upon any public street or highway or in a fire
zone in violation of the terms and provisions of this chapter or any
temporary regulation promulgated under the authority hereof. Such
vehicle shall be removed to a garage or other place of safety. The
registered owner of said vehicle shall be promptly notified in writing
of the fact of the removal and of the place to which said vehicle
has been taken. The owner of such vehicle shall be responsible for
any and all towing and storage charges.

Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this chapter
shall, upon summary conviction before a court of competent jurisdiction,
be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $1,000 for each violation
and the costs of prosecution or to imprisonment for a period not exceeding
30 days, or both. It shall be considered a separate violation for
each day that the violation is not corrected.
