In Industrial Districts, lands may be used and
buildings or structures may be altered, erected or used only for the
following:
A. Any use permitted by this chapter in a Residential
or Commercial District.
B. Manufacturing, including the processing, storage and
servicing of objects, materials and goods, except the following uses,
which are hereby specifically prohibited:
(1) Pyroxylin plastic manufacture or storage, including
fireworks, match manufacture or storage.
(2) Acetylene gas, ammonia or chlorine bleaching powder
manufacture or storage; sulfurous, nitric, picric, carbolic, hydrochloric
or other acid or chemical manufacture.
(3) Animal black, bone black or lamp-black manufacture
or treatment; fertilizer or potash refining, manufacture or storage.
(4) Crematory, incineration of garbage, except by the
Borough Council.
(5) Disinfectant, insecticide or poison manufacture.
(6) Glue, size or gelatin manufacture where the process
includes the refining and recovering of products from fish, animal
refuse or offal.
(7) Grease, lard, fat or tallow rendering or refining;
dye or soap manufacture; the storage, cleaning, curing or tanning
of rawhides or skins.
(8) Stockyards, wool pulling or scouring, slaughtering
of animals or poultry; reduction, incineration, storage or dumping
of slaughterhouse refuse, rancid fats, garbage, dead animals or offal.
(9) Petroleum refining or the storage of crude oil or
any of its volatile products or other highly flammable liquids in
aboveground tanks with unit capacity greater than 550 gallons.
(11)
Gas (illuminating or heating) storage.
(13)
The dismantling or storage of wrecked, disabled
or dismantled automobiles or airplanes or used parts thereof, unless
such dismantling or storage is carried on within a building.
(14)
Any other trade, industry or use that is noxious
or offensive by reason of the emission of odor, dust, smoke, gas or
noise.
