An authorized representative of the applicant
shall:
A. Be responsible for the care and use of the Township
property.
B. Ensure that a responsible adult(s) shall be in attendance
at all times during the occupancy of the Township facility/grounds.
C. Supply all personnel and equipment necessary, except
those specified on the permit application.
D. See that the premises are vacated promptly and at
the time specified on the application permit.
E. Be responsible for leaving the grounds/facility in
the same condition as prior to the event or use (i.e., trash picked
up and put in dumpster).
F. Accept full responsibility for payment of any additional
fees, within 30 days of billing, for any additional rental charges,
additional custodial fees, etc., in accordance with the schedule designated
on the approved permit.

A. Membership required.
(1) No person(s) shall engage in playing pickleball at
the Green Top Pickleball Courts at River Road unless first having
obtained membership keys through the Parks and Recreation Department.
(2) These courts include six lighted pickleball courts
reserved exclusively for the playing of pickleball by its members
and guests.
(3) The Parks and Recreation Department is hereby authorized
to issue the membership keys provided for herein upon the payment
to it of the required membership keys fee to a resident of the Township
of Pennsauken.
B. Membership qualifications and conditions. No person(s)
not a resident of Pennsauken shall be entitled to secure membership
keys under the terms and conditions of this article. All membership
keys issued under this article shall apply only to the person(s) to
whom they are granted, and no membership key shall be transferable.
Any person(s) who shall loan, give or otherwise transfer to another
his or her membership keys granted hereunder shall be subject to the
penalty of having said membership keys revoked by the Township Committee
and of being disqualified to receive new membership keys after said
revocation with no refund, in addition to the penalties provided under
Subsection H hereof.
C. Guests. Members are permitted to bring guests. The
member is responsible for their guests. Guests must leave the courts
when the member departs.
D. Fees. The sum of $10 shall be paid for membership
keys to access courts and restrooms. Residents can purchase a membership
key at the Pennsauken Parks and Recreation Department.
E. General rules and regulations of play.
(1) Members must be residents of Pennsauken.
(2) Members shall not loan out or copy their membership
card or key.
(3) No single person may hold a court while waiting for his or her partner.
(4) Players using courts shall yield to others who have waited 30 minutes.
(5) Players are encouraged to double up when the courts are crowded.
(6) The gates and clubhouse shall be secured prior to departure.
(7) Lights are provided until 10:00 p.m. only.
(8) You are responsible for putting trash in containers or possibly clearing
snow or leaves off of courts in order to play.
(9) Members shall clean and maintain the clubhouse with cleaning supplies
provided by the Township.
(10)
All profane and obscene language is prohibited.
(11)
Every player shall observe all courteous pickleball rules and
regulations and manners in order to afford the other players an enjoyable
time on the courts.
F. Damage or neglect shall be reported immediately to the Pennsauken
Parks and Recreation Department.
G. Rules and regulations. All Green Top Pickleball Court rules and regulations
shall be set forth by the Parks and Recreation Department and shall
become a part of the key membership application.

A. The purpose of this amendment to the ordinance is to promote the
public peace and the health, safety and welfare of the residents of
the Township of Pennsauken by establishing regulations for the use
of the skate park owned by the Township of Pennsauken. This section
does not preclude other civil or criminal actions in regards to conduct
proscribed herein.
B. The Council of the Township of Pennsauken hereby declares that skateboarding,
roller-skating, in-line skating and other similar activities are hazardous
recreational activities that may result in death or serious injury.
All users of the skate park assume the risk of death or serious injury.
C. Pennsauken's Skate Park is a skate-at-your-own-risk facility. The
skate park is unsupervised. The Township of Pennsauken/State of New
Jersey is not responsible for injuries, which may occur.
D. Use of this skate park may expose the user to serious injury, including
broken bones, paralysis, or death. Protective equipment shall be used
at all times by all persons entering, using or remaining in the skate
park. Failure to wear protective equipment increases the risk of such
injury. Wearing a helmet, kneepads, gloves, elbow pads, and wrist
guards is required at all times while in the skate park. The following
regulations shall apply to all persons entering, using, or remaining
in the skate park:
(1) Only users of skateboards, roller skates, in-line skates, bicycles
(without metal pegs), and scooters are permitted in the skate park.
All other users are prohibited.

(2) No motorized vehicles of whatever nature or kind are permitted in
the skate park. Bicycles with metal pegs are not permitted in the
skate park.

(3) Protective equipment is mandatory and must be worn at all times by
all persons entering, using or remaining in the skate park.
(4) Users must inspect the condition of the skating surface before using
the facility, and must remove any trash or debris that may prevent
a smooth, safe riding surface. Use of the skate park is prohibited
when the surface is wet, icy, damaged, or unsafe. Unsafe conditions
or damage to the facility should be immediately reported to the Pennsauken
Parks and Recreation Department (856-665-1000, ext. 151). In any emergency,
contact Pennsauken Police Department (856-663-1234).
(5) Use the skate park within your level of ability and avoid collisions.
Always be aware of your surroundings and others. Conduct which is
reckless, horseplaying (such as tandem riding, pushing), bullying
or any activity which could endanger the safety of others is strictly
prohibited.
(6) Tagging, graffiti, littering, waxing, and other acts of defacement
or vandalism are unlawful and prohibited.
(7) No personal ramps, boxes, rails, jumps, or any other objects are
permitted in the skate park.
(8) Adult supervision is required for children under 13 entering, remaining
or using the skate park.
(9) Smoking, tobacco, alcohol, and drugs are prohibited anywhere in the
skate park and surrounding areas.
(10)
Use of abusive, threatening, or obscene language is prohibited.
No pets are allowed in the skate park at any time.
(11)
Loud music, amplified music and sound systems are prohibited
at the skate park.
(12)
The skate park is closed from dusk until dawn.
(13)
All persons entering, using, or remaining in any skate park
must wear a shirt while on skate park property.
(14)
Township of Pennsauken shall not be responsible for any personal
belongings lost or stolen at the skate park.
(15)
No glass containers or food are permitted within the skate park
facility.
(16)
Parents may be held financially responsible for damages caused
by the inappropriate actions or activities of their children in, around,
or about the skate park.
(17)
All injuries, whether major or minor, suffered at the skate
park are to be reported immediately to the Township of Pennsauken
Parks and Recreation Dept. at (856) 665-1000, ext. 151.

A. Dog park rules and regulations.
(1) Persons making use of the dog park do so at their own risk of injury
to selves and dogs. No attendant is on duty. Users of this facility
do so at their own risk.
(2) Persons making use of the dog park shall be responsible for injuries
caused by their dogs to other persons and dogs. Persons responsible
for any such injuries or property damage shall hold the Township of
Pennsauken harmless for same.
(3) Persons making use of the dog park must be 18 years of age or older,
and dogs must be at least four months old, properly licensed with
the state, with proper vaccinations for rabies. Parvo/distemper and
bordatella vaccinations are recommended.
(4) No entry will be permitted without a park registration tag, dog license
tag, and rabies identification tag attached to the dog collar.
(5) Allowing other individuals to utilize a dog pass or to give access
to unregistered dogs will result in immediate suspension of privileges.
(6) No choke, prong or spike collars, as these can injure dogs during
play.
(7) Persons must scoop and dispose of dog waste in trash containers provided.
(8) No animals other than dogs may be brought into the dog park.
(9) Dogs must never be left unattended. The dog owner/permit holder must
keep an eye on his or her dog(s) at all times and keep a leash available
at all times.
(10)
Dogs must be leashed at all times when not in the dog park.
(11)
Dog owners must be inside the park and within view and voice
control of their dogs at all times.
(12)
Dogs may not be brought into the park if they are less than
four months old, sick or unhealthy, have a history of aggressiveness,
have been adjudicated as dangerous by a court of law, or are females
in heat.
(13)
If aggressive action is observed, the permit holder must leave
the park immediately with the aggressive dog.
(14)
Children under 12 years of age must be closely supervised at
all times. It is strongly urged that, for their own safety, young
children not be brought to the dog park; if they are, the children
must be close enough to hold an adult's hand at all times.
(15)
No food, treats, rawhide chews, alcoholic beverages, glass containers,
strollers, bicycles, skateboards, roller blades or toys will be allowed
in the dog park area. Littering and smoking is prohibited.
(16)
No more than three beings (dogs and/or small children) per handler
will be allowed.
(17)
Dog owners must immediately fill any holes their dogs dig.
(18)
Professional dog trainers/behaviorists and dog walkers are not
permitted to use the dog park to conduct their business.
(19)
Dogs, permit holders and park users creating a disturbance or
violating rules must immediately leave the off-leash area if requested
by law enforcement personnel, park personnel or their designated agents.
(20)
No large dogs will be allowed in the small-dog area and vice
versa.
(21)
All gates must be closed at all times after entering or leaving.
(22)
All dog bites must be reported to the Pennsauken Police Department
at (856) 488-0080 and Pennsauken Parks and Recreation Department at
665-1000, ext. 151. If a bite occurs, the dog's owner must exchange
his or her name and phone number with the other dog owner.
(23)
The Township of Pennsauken and its Parks and Recreation Department
reserves the right to close the dog park area for maintenance and
repairs, at any time and without notice.
(24)
Aggressive dogs are prohibited from the park, and dogs exhibiting
aggressive behavior must be removed immediately.
(25)
Outside of the fenced dog park, dogs must be on leash and under
control by their owners/handlers at all times.
B. It shall be unlawful to:
(1) Enter or remain on the facility at hours other than the Township-designated
hours of usage.
(2) Enter or remain on the facility with more than three dogs per individual.
(3) Fail to immediately remove from the facility any dog showing aggression
toward people or other dogs in the facility.
(4) Fail to immediately remove from the facility any dog that barks continuously,
uncontrollably, or excessively.
(5) Enter or remain on the facility with a female dog in estrus.
(6) Enter or remain on the facility with a dog not currently vaccinated
against rabies.
(7) Enter or remain on the facility with a dog younger than four months
of age.
(8) Fail to immediately leash and restrain a dog in the facility when
advised to do so by a municipal official.
(9) Fail to abide by the rules and regulations posted at the entrance
of the facility.
(10)
Fail to immediately depart the facility when ordered to do so
by a municipal official.
(11)
Enter on or remain upon the facility without a valid Township
of Pennsauken membership tag or a valid Township of Pennsauken pet
license properly displayed on each dog or a current Township of Pennsauken
authorized guest pass.
C. Enforcement. Enforcement of the above rules and regulations is under
the immediate supervision of the Township of Pennsauken Police Department
or an Animal Control Officer. Violators of dog park rules and regulations
will be subject to one or more of the following:
(2) Suspension of park privileges;
(3) Revocation of dog park permit; and/or

(2) Weekends
(Friday and Saturday): lights turned off by 11:00 p.m.
E. Crescent Park at Burwood Avenue. Football and field sports activities.
(1) Weekdays (Sunday through Thursday): lights turned off by 10:00 p.m.
(2) Weekends (Friday and Saturday): lights turned off by 10:30 p.m.

A. Effective August 21, 2013, no further out-of-town coaches or children
will be accepted at registration to participate in any youth sports
program except:
(1) Merchantville youth and coaches will continue to be allowed in PYAA
programs, Merchantville/Pennsauken Little League and the Pennsauken
Youth Soccer Organization.
(2) Any child who has been a member in the program prior to his or her
family moving out of Pennsauken/Merchantville may finish the program.
(3) Children who have a parent or legal guardian who is a resident of
Pennsauken/Merchantville may participate in the PYAA program, Merchantville/Pennsauken
Little League and Pennsauken Youth Soccer Organization. The legal
guardian who is a resident of Pennsauken/Merchantville must sign the
child up for the program.
(4) All PYAA sports and the Merchantville/Pennsauken Little League and
Pennsauken Youth Soccer Organization will advertise for in-town coaches
in All Around Pennsauken and our community local cable access channels
during every registration period. Request for coaches will also be
on registration forms and every participant's parent/guardian will
be required to sign the request for coaches form.
(5) After all attempts to find in-town coaches have been exhausted, out-of-town
coaches, including alumni, can submit interest in a coaching position
with PYAA, Merchantville/Pennsauken Little League and the Pennsauken
Youth Soccer Organization. The President of each sport shall submit
prospective out-of-town coach's name, address and experience to the
respective leadership of each organization for initial approval. Once
approved, the coach's name, address and experience will be submitted
to the Township's Parks and Recreation Department for final approval.
The out-of-town coach may begin to coach only after this final approval
is obtained. This process will be done on a yearly basis.
B. Any parent or guardian approved to coach by the respective leadership
Boards and Pennsauken Township’s Parks and Recreation Department
will be permitted to register their children with the sport they are
coaching.
C. At all times, good judgment must be exercised by PYAA and Pennsauken
Township.

Any person(s) violating any of the provisions
of this article shall, upon conviction, be subject to one or more
of the following: a fine not exceeding $1,250 or imprisonment in the
county jail for a term not exceeding 90 days, or a period of community
service not exceeding 90 days, at the discretion of the Municipal
Court Judge.
