In case any building or structure is erected,
constructed, altered, repaired, converted or maintained, or any building
or structure or land is used in violation of this chapter or any regulations
made pursuant thereto, the Zoning Officer or other Township authorities,
in addition to other remedies, may institute any appropriate action
or proceedings to prevent such unlawful erection, construction, reconstruction,
alteration, repair, conversion, maintenance or use, to restrain, correct
or abate such violations, to prevent the occupancy of said building,
structure or land or to prevent any illegal act, conduct, business
or use in and about such premises.
Any person, entity or corporation violating
any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof,
be punishable by one or more of the following: by fine not exceeding
$1,000 or by imprisonment not exceeding 90 days; or by a period of
community service not exceeding 90 days. Whenever such person, entity
or corporation shall have been officially notified by the Zoning Officer
or by service of a summons in a prosecution, or in any other official
manner, that he or it is committing a violation, each day's continuance
of such violation after such notification shall constitute a separate
offense punishable by a like fine or penalty.
