The following minimum footing standards will
not exclude an owner/contractor from reducing a footing design below
the minimum standards, provided that the design is based on calculations
made by a registered engineer or architect licensed in the State of
Maryland. The Building Inspector may also modify these standards by
increasing the design for the footings after an examination of the
job site and he deems it necessary to increase the design standards.
