There is hereby created a full-time position
of Clerk of the Emerson Bureau of Fire Prevention, who shall be appointed
by the Mayor with confirmation of Council.
The Bureau of Fire Prevention shall recommend
individuals for this position, which recommendation shall be advisory
only.
The term of this office shall be from January
1 to December 31, and an appointment to fill a vacancy therein shall
only be for the unexpired term.
Duties of the Clerk shall be to execute all
ministerial, statutory, clerical and secretarial duties relating to
the Fire Prevention Bureau and such other duties as shall be delegated
to the Clerk from time to time by officials of the Fire Prevention
Bureau.
The salary for this position shall be fixed
from time to time by the Mayor and Council and set forth in the Borough's
General Salary Ordinance.
