[HISTORY: Adopted by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Emerson 5-28-1974 by Ord. No. 628 (Ch. 59 of the 1966 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
No person shall hunt game of any kind with firearms within the limits of the Borough of Emerson, nor shall any person fire or discharge, or cause to be fired or discharged, any firearm within the limits of said Borough except as herein otherwise stated.[1]

Nothing herein contained shall prohibit target practice by the Police Department or the discharge of any firearm by a police officer in the discharge of his duties.[1]

As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
FIREARM
Any pistol, revolver, gun or air gun, shotgun or rifle.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be subject to a fine not exceeding $500 or imprisonment not exceeding 90 days, in the discretion of the court or Judge before which or whom such conviction shall be had.
