Permanent full-time employees of the Borough who are entitled to a paid vacation shall be entitled to receive payment for such vacation on the payroll period immediately preceding the start of the vacation, if the following conditions are met:
A. 
The employee shall make a written request for such prepayment to the Borough Treasurer.
B. 
The request shall be made at least one week prior to the issuance of payroll checks.
C. 
The operating department head, e.g., Police Chief, Borough Clerk, etc., shall either countersign the request or submit a separate document to the Borough Treasurer, which will serve to confirm the length and scheduled time period of the vacation.
The amount of vacation pay shall be calculated on the basis of the annual base salary shown on the applicable Salary Ordinance.[1] Average overtime, holiday pay, longevity, etc., shall not be considered in the calculation.
