[HISTORY: Adopted by the Borough Council (now Municipal Council) of the Borough of Monroeville (now Municipality of Monroeville) 8-9-1966 by Ord. No. 541. Amendments noted where applicable.]
The use, operation or flying of radio-controlled or uncontrolled-powered model airplanes, rockets or other flying objects of similar nature is deemed to be a public nuisance and a danger to life and property and is therefore prohibited within the Municipality of Monroeville.
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
POWERED
Any such model airplanes, rockets or other flying objects of a similar nature that are given motive force to fly, either wholly or partially, through electricity, gasoline-driven engines or other chemical means.

Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this chapter or shall cause or direct others to violate any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon summary conviction thereof before any District Justice, pay a fine for each such violation in a sum not exceeding $600, together with the costs of prosecution, and, upon failure to pay such fine and costs forthwith, shall be confined in the Allegheny County Jail for a period not exceeding 30 days.
