A Planning Commission consisting of five members is hereby created and established for Mount Pleasant Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, pursuant to the provisions of Article II, Section 201, of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (53 P.S. § 10201), as established by the Act of July 31, 1968, P.L. 805, No. 247, as amended and reenacted.
The Planning Commission shall be comprised of five members who shall be appointed for terms of office of four years, except that the terms of the members first appointed pursuant to this chapter shall be so fixed that no more than two shall be reappointed or replaced during any future calendar year. At least three members of the Planning Commission shall be “citizen members,” who shall not be officers or employees of the Township. All of the members of the Planning Commission shall be residents of the Township.
The Planning Commission shall have all the powers and duties conferred and imposed upon it as set forth in the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, established by the Act of July 31, 1968, P.L. 805, No. 247, as amended and reenacted (53 P.S. § 10101 et seq.).
