Borough of Pen Argyl, PA Chapter 14 Fire Department, Volunteer

§ 14-1 Authorized duties.

The members of the Volunteer Fire Company shall be authorized and are hereby authorized to participate in the following activities, which participation shall be for all purposes considered as activities authorized by the Council of the Borough of Pen Argyl and in addition to the normal fighting of fires, rescue and emergency duties of the Volunteer Fire Company.

A. Participation in drills, practices and training sessions, as authorized by the officers of the Volunteer Fire Company.

B. Participation in community celebrations when authorized by the officers of the Volunteer Fire Company.

C. Performance of duties necessary to maintain the fire station.

D. Participation in parades including parades outside the Borough of Pen Argyl when authorized by the Council of the Borough of Pen Argyl.

E. Participation in fire prevention activities.

F. Participation in fund-raising activities when authorized by the officers of the Volunteer Fire Company and the Council of the Borough of Pen Argyl.

G. Participation in programs to promote health and safety, to recruit new members, to solicit community support or to raise funds when the aforementioned are authorized by the officers of the Volunteer Fire Company and the Borough of Pen Argyl.
