No person or persons, firm or corporation shall transport or cause to
be moved to any place within the Borough or from any place within the Borough
any household goods in bulk, in which transportation will be used a motor
vehicle upon any street or alley in the Borough, without first securing from
the Borough Secretary a permit for such moving or transportation.
Any person or persons, firm or corporation desiring such a permit for
the removal or transportation of household goods in the manner above described
shall make application to the Borough Secretary, setting forth the names of
the owners or reputed owners of the property to be moved, the address and
location from which the property is to be removed, the new address or location
of the place to which the property is to be removed, the date or dates of
the removal or transportation and the streets or public alleys to be used
by motor vehicle.

The Borough Secretary shall, upon application being made as provided for in § 99-2, issue a permit for which a fee as fixed by resolution of the Borough of Pen Argyl will be charged. Said permit shall set forth the name of the permittee, as well as the name or names of the owners of the goods to be moved and the address from which the goods are to be moved and the address to which the goods are to be delivered.
For the purpose of this chapter, a "motor vehicle" shall be defined
as in Section 102 of The Vehicle Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon
conviction in a summary proceeding before a District Magistrate, be sentenced
to pay a fine of not more than $300 and costs of prosecution, and in default
of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment in the county jail for
not more than 30 days.
