All plans shall be prepared, signed and sealed by a professional engineer registered in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania except for the following: Plans for the tap-in of a single-family house involving a gravity lateral which taps into an existing sewer in an existing dedicated street, which shall be a single lateral passing only within the property line of the single-family house to the existing sewer line may be submitted by a person competent to prepare such plan, but not necessarily a professional engineer.
All plans shall be on a minimum twenty-four-inch-by-thirty-six-inch sheets, unless they are for a tap-in of a single-family house.
Plan and profile drawings shall be at a maximum scale of one inch equals 50 feet horizontal and one inch equals five feet vertical.
Plans submitted shall show:
A. 
The location of all utility lines existing and proposed.
B. 
The size of pipe.
C. 
The direction of flow.
D. 
The location of any above-ground or below-ground structures.
E. 
The location of all existing manholes and proposed manholes.
F. 
A profile of all existing and proposed sewer lines, waterlines, storm sewers, electric lines and any other underground utilities.
G. 
The location of any necessary pumps and/or pumping stations and adequate details and calculations for proposed pump stations.
H. 
Erosion and sediment control measures.
I. 
Proposed easements/rights-of-way if and where required.
J. 
All information required by the Public Underground Utilities Act, and amendments, which lists the utilities within the work area shall be shown on the plans.
K. 
Testing specifications and PA One-Call serial number shall be indicated on the plans.
L. 
Site address.
Plans for pumping facilities and other equipment shall be accompanied by hydraulic calculations pump operating efficiencies, auxiliary equipment literature, site plans, and any other supportive data necessary for a proper review of the submitted plans, including capacity calculations for both pressure and gravity pipes.
A. 
All plans shall be submitted to the Borough 15 days prior to the next regularly scheduled Sewer Committee meeting. Said submission, if accompanied by payment of all applicable fees, charges, etc., shall constitute a formal request for review by the applicant.
B. 
All subsequent revisions, regardless of the reason, shall also be submitted to the Borough and be subject to additional charges as appropriate. Subsequent submissions shall bear a revision date each time submitted and numbered. Three sets of plans shall be submitted as part of each submission. Upon final approval of the plans, three sets of plans shall be stamped, whereupon one copy will be returned to the applicant, one copy will remain with the STP Operator and one copy will be retained by the Borough Sewer Committee Engineer.
Upon review of a submission, the Borough Sewer Committee Engineer shall issue a letter addressed to the Borough, with a copy to the applicant, three days prior to the next regularly scheduled Sewer Committee meeting.
