There is hereby created the office of Township
Manager.
The Manager shall be appointed for a term of
five years and may be reappointed from time to time. He can be removed
from office during his term only according to the terms of the Local
Agency Law.
The Manager shall be chosen solely on the basis
of his executive and administrative abilities, with special reference
to the duties of his office as outlined in this chapter.
Before entering upon his duties, the Manager
shall give a bond to the Township with a bonding company as surety,
to be approved by the Board of Commissioners, in a sum to be determined
by the Board of Commissioners, but not less than $100,000, conditioned
upon the faithful performance of his duties, the premium for the bond
to be paid by the Township.
The salary of the Manager shall be fixed from
time to time by resolution of the Board of Commissioners.
All references to the masculine gender, as hereinabove
contained, shall also be construed to include the feminine gender.
