The governing body may from time to time amend
this chapter. Amendments to the Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance
shall become effective only after a public hearing held pursuant to
public notice. Each such amendment to the Subdivision and Land Development
Ordinance shall be submitted to the County Planning Commission 30
days prior to the scheduled public hearing for a review and report,
together with a fee sufficient to cover the costs of the review and
report, which fee shall be paid by the person or entity requesting
the amendment. The governing body shall not approve an amendment to
this chapter until the county report is received or until the expiration
of 30 days from the date the amendment was forwarded to the county.
