A. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to park
or cause to be parked upon any street, avenue, alley, roadway or other
public way on or within any area having a residential zoning classification
in the Borough of Trafford, whether the same is attached or unattached
to another vehicle, any of the following:
(6) Any bus with a registered gross weight exceeding 11,000 pounds;
(7) Any truck with a registered gross weight exceeding 11,000 pounds;
or
B. The term "oversized vehicle" shall include any vehicle with a registered
gross weight exceeding 11,000 pounds, or having an overall width exceeding
7 1/2 feet, or an overall length exceeding 24 feet, or has more
than two axles.
C. The term "to park" or "parking" shall mean the standing of a motor
vehicle or trailer, whether occupied or not other than temporarily
for the purpose of, and while actually engaged in, loading or unloading
or in obedience to traffic regulations or traffic signs or signals
or used in conjunction with actual construction or repair to adjacent
property.
D. This section shall not apply to any state, county, municipal government
or public utility vehicle used for responding to emergencies, nor
shall it apply to any truck or bus with a registered gross weight
less than 11.001 pounds, an overall width not exceeding 7 1/2
feet, or an overall length not exceeding 24 feet, or has more than
two axles.
E. This section shall also not apply to any vehicle that has an overall
width exceeding 7 1/2 feet, or and overall length exceeding 24
feet, or has more than two axles parked within a privately owned lot
as such that it is located at a setback of 25 feet from any street.
The provisions of this article shall be enforceable
against and any violation of the provisions of this article shall
apply to the operator of said trailer, tractor and/or tractor-trailer
and to the firm or corporation responsible for the said operation
and, further, to the registered owner of said trailer, tractor and/or
tractor-trailer, and a like penalty, as hereinafter provided, shall
apply to each of said parties.

Any person, firm or corporation found in violation
of and guilty of violating the provisions of this article shall, upon
conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $100 nor more
than $1,000, and, in addition thereto, all costs of prosecution and,
upon failure to pay said fine and costs, shall be committed by the
proper authority to jail for a period of five days or until such time
as the fine and costs are paid, whichever event is the lesser period
of time.
