The Public Works Department shall be responsible for all matters relating
to the construction, maintenance and operation of the physical properties
of the Township, to the extent that such responsibilities are not expressly
charged to any other department or office.
The Public Works Department shall be headed and supervised by the foreman,
who shall be responsible to the Manager for the performance of the function
of the Department.
The areas of responsibility of the Public Works Department shall include:
A.
The direction and supervision of the maintenance and
construction of streets and bridges.
B.
The direction and supervision of the maintenance and
construction of storm sewers.
C.
The direction and supervision of the maintenance of Township
property and equipment.
D.
The direction and supervision of snow- and ice-control
activities within the Township.
E.
The performance of such other functions and duties as
may be required by the Manager.
